Dis-Mental

A mystery involving ketchup, poems, and a force that knows us all too well

Wanneer? 29 april en 30 april – 20:00
Waar? STUK (Naamsestraat 96, 3000 Leuven)

Dis-mental is the second original play written by Janus International Theatre, a group of theatre enthusiasts who came to Leuven from different corners of the world. Set in the not-so-far-away future, James Carter, an investigative journalist, learns about the sudden death of a patient in an enigmatic hospital which treats people with “light” mental disorders. When he tries to dig deeper, he uncovers a mystery that goes far beyond a single death. While the patients appear to be more normal than expected, it is the system that appears to have a mental disorder. Heavy story, set set in a dystopic version of the Belgian kingdom, is served with with a large portion of humour and satire typical for Janus productions. Join James in his investigation and watch the mystery unfold in the inspirative spaces of STUK.

This performance is fully in English and the admission is voluntary.
